KR Saws Company History
Since its launch in 2004, KR Saws Ltd has rapidly become a leading player in the UK metal cutting saw blade industry. The company was formed in a joint venture between world-class saw blades manufacturers, Kinkelder BV of the Netherlands and Robert Roentgen GmbH & Co of Germany and was established to provide an interface for technical support direct to the UK.
Founded in 1899, Robert Röntgen GmbH & Co is based in Remscheid, at the heart of the German cutting tool industry. The Company pioneered the development and manufacture of metal cutting saw blades. Today, after more than a century, RÖNTGEN leads the industry in product and process development and has become one of the most respected manufacturers of bimetal and carbide tipped band saw blades world-wide. Bandsaw blade manufacture relies on a flow line of complex production processes. By embracing the philosophy and implementing the procedures of ISO 9001:2000 QA certifications, together with continuous investment in state of the art machinery and metrology, Roentgen has gained a strong reputation for quality and consistency.

Roentgen Metal Cutting Bandsaw Blades
KR Saws bimetal product range provides comprehensive coverage of the blade widths, tooth geometries and pitches to address the broad spectrum of sawing applications. Bi-alfa cobalt M42, Bi-alfa cobalt M51, Bi-alfa Matrix2 and our specialised Bi-alfa Master and Bi-alfa Cobalt RP variants as well as our Bi-alfa Cobalt WS satisfy even the most demanding cutting applications. For more specialised applications, particularly where high cutting rates on difficult-to-cut materials are required, we have the HM-Titan variants, a precision ground multi-chip Tungsten Carbide Tipped Bandsaw Blade range. There are some applications where the uses of toothed saw blades are not appropriate. Glass, tyres, ceramics and other non chip forming materials can be successfully sawn with the Carbide Grit Edged range, with blade widths and grit sizes to suit most machines and material applications. To complete our range we manufacture a full range of traditional Carbon Steel Bandsaw Blades for wood and for metal; the RRR Flexback for non-ferrous and wood cutting and the RRR-Plus Hardback for steel cutting.
